It was a real pleasure to present the Start Up Award to @ambrosehlthcare at the #mediwales Innovation Awards on 7 December 2023. Start-up companies are close to our heart at Biophys, so we were delighted that James Preece was able to be at the celebrations and present this award.

Ambrose Healthcare is a specialist rare disease pharmaceutical company that aims to match unmet clinical needs of people with rare diseases with appropriate new approved drug treatments. Their novel business model chimes with our view at Biophys Ltd that creative ways need to be found to make sure that safe and efficacious treatments can be accessed by people with rare diseases. After all, it should be a given that healthcare services accommodate healthcare needs rather than patients’ healthcare needs being at the mercy of a system.
